This is a what-if build of a Sherman based assault gun. It is based on the Takom M1 Super Sherman.
The new hull and casemate were designed in 3D CAD to fit the Takom M1. I sent the files to a friend for print and in a week or so, I had parts in hand. The main gun is a Magic Models barrel for the M36 Jackson. The brake I stole off the SuperPershing (which actually looks kinda cool without a brake).
The design is based on the T40 tank destroyer concept. It mounted a 3in gun on a modified M3 Lee hull with an open top design. The project was cancelled as the M10 with rotating turret was just about to start initial production.
Model has final details and stowage added. A black primer was sprayed from a rattle can.
