This is my interpretation of the drawing for a smaller turret for the KV-2. It never went any further than the initial design study.
My interpretation of the KV-2 Small Turret. There was a study drawing created but the project never went anywhere. I designed everything in SolidWorks and BJ at PanzerConcepts printed these for me. I left channels to add epoxy welds. I'll also need to detail it with assorted MasterClub rivets. I'm guessing the small triangular horn piece in the drawing is a debris shield of some sort. I'll make that out of styrene or brass.
One of the design flaws I found was the Driver and Radio Operator cannot open their hatch with the gun forward.
