The Panzer Kampf Anzug Ausf. H0 (PKA) was one of the first armored suits that Kow built for the original Hobby Japan photo stories. It's an absolute favorite design of mine. I've built several of the original Nitto kits but this is my first go at the newer Wave release.
Model has been weathered with oils and enamels. The clear canopies are picking up a lot of lighting reflections from the interior of the photo cube.
The kit was a straightforward build with no real issues. I modified the pilot bust with the visor down so the pilot reflected the artwork on the back of the original Nitto box. I plan to cover the polyethylene joint covers with epoxy putty since the material does not take paint very well.
The kit is missing a number of small details like the small welds which were such a nice detail for the time of the release. I replicated the welds with epoxy putty. I textured the plastic parts with thinned Tamiya grey putty. The PE joint covers were sculpted over with green stuff epoxy putty.
The model was airbrushed with custom mixes of Tamiya acrylics.
