I turned one of the Artpla/Kaiyodo Kuster into a StuH Krote armed with a 105mm main gun. The details on the kit are very basic and the whole thing feels toy-like and not a real model. I redid a lot to try to level up the build.

I went with a subtle camouflage scheme on a dessert yellow base as a homage to the original Nitto Krote camo cards which had some very basic camo schemes. The bright yellow paint job was toned down with filters and a dark brown wash. The weathering consisted of a quick round of chipping followed by lots of speckle effects and selective oil paints to accent the unique features on this model. Pigments and enamels were used for the dust, dirt, and grease effects.
