This is a build of the Tamiya Hotchkiss H39 French Light tank built as a BeutePanzer Panzerkampfwagen 39H 735(f) operating the Balkans during the winter of 1941/42.
I modified the kit by adding a 3D printed tool stowage box, and a scratch-built antenna frame from styrene sheet and strip. The tarp is made from green-stuff epoxy putty. The kit figure head was swapped out for one from Alpine.
The model was painted with Tamiya acrylics for the base coat. The hairspray technique was used to create the first layer of distressed whitewash. Washable White was used to add additional layers of paint effects. The model was weathered with oil paints. The snow effect is a custom mix of WS Snow, marble powder and micro balloons.
Initial Build
Mottled Panzer Grey. The grey is kept light to avoid harsh contrast with the white.
